Target Offers $4 Generic Drugs

Target Corp. announcement Monday that it will offer its own $4 generic prescription-drug program at all of its 1,287 pharmacies nationwide.

Wal-Mart has accelerated its program to sell 30-day supplies of 314 generic drugs for $4 each. The program, started in Tampa, Fla., on Sept. 21, now covers 38 states and 3,009 pharmacies, or roughly 75 percent of Wal-Mart's stores nationwide

Barry Horney Update

Eddie, Lorraine and I went to see Barry Horney Saturday. He is now staying at the Candlewood Suites, which is very close to St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville. Barry will be there for a few weeks so as he can be closely watched and medically treated. The address is 4990 Belfort Rd, Room 104, Jacksonville, FL 32256

Barry Horney

Dear Members,

I called Barry last night and he is doing well. He expects to be released from the hospital on Tuesday. Barry will be put up in a hotel close to the hospital so he can be monitored. Chaplain Dennis, Ormond Beach PD Chaplain, spent three hours with Barry yesterday. Joe Sanchez is supposed to visit Barry today. Vic Nevins is ready to assist Barry with any of his needs. Barry daughter Andrea has my phone number and thanks us for our support.

FDA Issues Nationwide Recall

FDA Alerts Public of Nationwide Recall of 500mg Strength Store-Brand Acetaminophen Caplets

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is alerting the public to a voluntary recall being conducted by Perrigo Company (Perrigo) of Allegan, Michigan for 383 lots of acetaminophen 500mg caplets manufactured and distributed under various store-brands as a result of small metal fragments found in a small number of these caplets.

Approximately 11 million bottles containing varying quantities of acetaminophen 500mg caplets are affected by this recall.

Consumers can determine if they are in possession of a recalled product by locating the batch number printed on the container label.
